Visual Arts Program for Winter Session

The second in a series of workshops with CDMS, the focus of the session will be the visual representation of words and names in culturally specific ways. The class will explore the topic through creative writing, sketchbook drawing journals, artist studies, and painting of jean jackets and or other wearable items, guest artists, viewing documentaries, and one or two field trips. If there is time and interest, students will have an opportunity to create small canvas paintings.
